Muscles Don't Have Brains

"Muscle memory" is a colloquialism for myelination of neural pathways in the brain. The muscles themselves remember nothing. To change a movement pattern, you must disrupt the existing neural pathway through slow, deliberate practice with extreme exaggeration.
